Cyber Greeting Cards and Postcards
Do you like to remember the folks back home with a postcard while you travel? Find a
cyber cafe and then travel online to a cyber postcard or greeting card site. You can choose pictures or graphics, compose a personal message, and then send your handmade creation via the internet. Voilá - the receiver gets an e-mail notification that your postcard is ready for pick up. By going to the link in the e-mail message, the recipient(s) will be able to view your postcard online.
- Blue Mountain - Includes a selection of 'talking cards'. Type what you want the character to say, pick the voice you would like to use, and then hit 'preview' to hear your message.
- E-Cards - Also contains a section for artists and photographers to contribute their work.
- Regards - Greeting cards plus a photo sharing center and other fun services.
- Yahoo! Greetings - In addition to their preset selection of cards, you may also turn your pictures into custom greeting cards.
- Tip for Sending Mail from a Foreign Country - Pack some lightweight paper for writing letters. You can send more pages for less postage. Before you go on your trip, borrow or buy an accurate postage scale. Check to see how many pages you can fit into an envelope and still fall under the various weight classifications (1 ounce, 2 ounces, 3 ounces, etc..) Jot down the information and take it with you when you travel. Be aware that many countries use grams instead of ounces (there are approximately 28 1/3 grams per ounce).

Europeans, like some Americans, drive on the right side of the road, except in England, where they drive on both sides of the road; Italy, where they drive on the sidewalk; and France, where if necessary they will follow you right into the hotel lobby. -- Dave Barry
