There are several sites on the internet that offer different types of free permanent e-mail addresses. Some just forward e-mail to your regular e-mail address (which you can change if you move to a different service provider); others allow you to check and send e-mail from any internet browser, which eliminates the need for a program like Eudora. Some allow spam blocking; others will provide automatic response messages.

Hot Mail is probably the best known on the internet. They have an automatic 'block' feature for spam, and also allow you to check your POP e-mail.
Net Address provides an e-mail address in the format: youremail@usa.net. Their service forwards e-mail to your regular POP e-mail account. You can compose and send mail from a web page once you logon.
