Do you like to ski or snowboard? Maybe you are a beginner who wants to learn. Well, there are many ski resorts in Utah that will give you that opportunity!

You will find that the Salt Lake City area is full of great ski resorts, so it is no wonder that the area was host to the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. It is the perfect place to spend some time on the slopes. It offers a unique snow composition, along with lots of sunny days - the perfect combo.

Families and beginners might enjoy the great classes at Snowbird, a particularly large resort. It includes shops and high-end lodging. Although it is rather more expensive than other resorts, the amenities and all-inclusive feel makes it well worth the price.

If you have young children, you might want to consider Brian Head Resort. It is unique among ski resorts in Utah, because it sets aside an entire mountain just for children and beginners. This is Navajo Mountain, and it is located right next to the resort's learning center. It offers a feeling of safety for those unsteady on their skis, and parents concerned for their children's well-being among more experienced athletes.

Park City Mountain Resort is one of the more famous resorts in Utah. It covers a broad range of experience, offering help and instruction for skiers of all skill levels. Park City Mountain Resort's many levels of children's programs shows a real desire to provide a safe, fun family environment.

Wolf Mountain, located in the town of Eden, offers some of the least expensive skiing in the state, so it is great for beginners on a budget. The resort has great family packages available, and it is well known for its excellent teaching terrain.

Another resort dedicated just for beginner skiers can be found at Bald Eagle Mountain at Deer Valley Resort. It boasts of an area called Wide West. Its ski school has classes available for all ages.

We have not even scratched the surface when it comes to describing all the ski resorts in Utah. You have tons of choices for an instructive and fabulous skiing experience, even if you are a beginner traveling with friends and family!
