Visit Vietnam and experience plenty of rich culture, monuments, natural scenery, pristine beaches, rice-paddy fields, mountain peaks, and lush forests. Vietnam is an unspoiled natural gem, rich in natural scenery, with many beautiful and intriguing locations. It is in the very heart of the southeast Indochina Peninsula.

Border countries include China in the north, Laos on the northwest border, and Cambodia to the southwest. Located to the east of Vietnam is the vast South China Sea. An adventure holiday in Vietnam is sure to delight all travelers from across the entire world.

You should definitely visit cultural Hanoi when in Vietnam. Hanoi is the capital city and is full to the brim with rich history and ancient culture. The City has loads of old and historic charm - did you know that there are more than 600 pagodas and temples throughout Hanoi as well as plenty of French colonial buildings? Your holiday tours are highly recommended to include some or all of the following sights:

Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum - The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is in the very center of Hanoi City. On display within the imposing mausoleum building is the preserved body of Uncle Ho - Ho Chi Minh. His body is embalmed and presented to visitors; he does look incredibly peaceful - as though he is just asleep.

One-Pillar Pagoda - The impressive One-Pillar Pagoda was constructed in 1049. It is a very well respected pagoda for Buddhists and the many worldwide travelers who flock to visit.

Ambassadors Pagoda - If you seek cultural delights and gems when you are in the beautiful country of Vietnam, then do consider a visit to the impressive Ambassadors Pagoda, which is also used as the main headquarters for the Vietnamese Buddhist Association. Quan Su, as it is also known more locally, is actually one of Hanoi's busiest houses of prayer.

The old and amazing building is busiest on the first and fifteenth days of every lunar month, which is when the Buddhists make their way to the ancient pagoda in order to make an offering. On your way into the pagoda, you should stop and buy some fragrant incense sticks from an incense seller and then light the sticks and leave them. You might then be blessed with amazing good luck!

Old Quarter - Explore the hidden and often unexplored side of Asia that you can only dream about by discovering the winding, historic, and heaving back streets and lanes of Hanoi's Old Quarter, which is an absolute must-see on your visit.

French Colonial Architecture - Amazing Hanoi is fortunate to be blessed with many beautiful French colonial buildings, which were constructed by early French settlers. Buildings include the imposing Grand Opera House, the majestic Presidential Palace, which was built between 1901 and 1906, the historic State Bank of Vietnam, the famous Sofitel Metropole Hotel, and the soaring and impressive Cathedrale St-Joseph.
