Are you planning a honeymoon, wedding, romantic getaway, or graduation? A chauffeured limousine ride is the ultimate finishing touch. This article can help you in the selection process.

The Questions You Should Ask

Be careful! Ask questions! Although colour may be important for weddings or graduations, there are other more vital things to consider:

1.) Does the limousine company have an online web presence?

2.) What kind of insurance do they carry on their fleet?

3.) What kind of guarantees do they offer (for breakdowns, late arrival, etc.)? Are their policies posted on the internet for prior investigation?

4.) Do they belong to a national certification agency?

5.) Can they provide references from past customers?

6.) What can they do for you if you are travelling by air and your plane is delayed?

7.) Do they provide extra luxuries like champagne (not for underage grads, of course), chocolates, flowers, mood lighting, and music?

8.) Is there a privacy screen or barrier between the driver and passenger compartments?

9.) Do they have a customer service representative available 24 hours a day 7 days a week?

10.) How many hours are included in the fee?

11.) What types of vehicles do they have in the fleet? Are there online photos or a brochure that you can look at ahead of time?

Some bed and breakfast inns and boutique hotels offer romance packages that include limousine service. The smaller the inn, the more personal attention you will receive. Packages often include Jacuzzi tubs, spa treatments, and breakfast in bed.

Be sure that the inn or hotel belongs to some kind of agency does that does regular inspections.

Don't be afraid to ask innkeepers questions. They are in the hospitality business - and that's what they usually are: hospitable, friendly, and helpful.

Women are one of the most important segments of the adventure travel industry. Women make the vast majority of travel decisions in families - not only the destinations, but the activities. They are the predominant adventure travel planners. -- Chris Doyle
